109 | This appears to be the remains of an ancient British hill fort. It is on the summit of a steep conical shaped hill, very steep or precipitous on its western side. The hill rises about 120 feet above the surrounding plain, and was therefore well adapted for such as a fort. The remains of the ramparts are still very distinct. The authorities quoted call it a Pictish Camp, which is of the same import as British hill forts. Therefore Fort (Remains of) is written on plan |
