Nothing is known in the neighbourhood respecting when it was built, or at what period it was removed. Tradition says it belonged to one of Fingal's warriours, which is very doubtful. |

Small portions of the walls remained till 1850 when they were removed and the stones used for repairing the stone wall round the burying ground. There is nothing known in the neighbourhood respecting the date of its erection &c. |
