This stone is nothing but a small whin boulder with a slight
hollow in the upper part nothing further is known of it than what is given in Descriptive
Rks. [Remarks] which is merely tradition. The stone is not exactly in the farm yard but about two
chains NE [North East] See trace (signed) Thomas Dudgeon Sergt. R.E. [Sergeant Royal Engineers]
