Donald Black Esqr. Factor, Cambusmore Estate by Callander Revd. [Reverend] Hugh McDiarmid, Ph. [Parish] Ministe Callander Angus McDonald Esqr. Banker, Callander |
124 | The site of an ancient chapel situated in a wood, close to and on the west of the Keltie Water, near it's junction with the River Teith. The foundation of the building is traceable by a slight elevation of the surface. Tradition says that a chapel, which was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, stood here, but the date of it's erection is unknown. Children who die without baptism are buried here. This is one of the six chapels mentioned in the Statistical Account of Kilmadock Parish. |
