The parish of Ardoch was formed by disjoining certain portions from the neighbouring parishes of Muthill, Blackford and Dunblane and is a separate independent parish in every respect excepting the support of the poor; which is conducted in the same way by the three above mentioned parishes, as previous to the erection of Ardoch into a separate parish.
