042 This name applies to the traces of a building Situated on a Small eminence a little East of the farm offices of "Corb. It appears to have been a quadrangular shape, about 30 feet in length and 20 in breadth, nothing known in the locality as to the date of its erection.
"At Corb on the north west of the forest, there are also the remains of a castle, probably a hunting-seat of the Scottish Kings, or the Earls of Crawford" New Stat [Statistical] Account.
