097 | [Situation] In the north end of the Grave Yard This is the site of the old parish Church of Aberdalgie. The present was built in 1773 after which the old church was disused and afterwards was gradually demolishied. Some portion of the walls were left standing untill about 30 or 40 years ago and at present there are no vestiges whatsoever to beseen of it, not even a trace of the foundations, All the people of the neighbourhood speak of it as being a very ancient church, and as being the parish church before the Reformation. The site is still well Known |
