STANDING STONE [Burnfoot] Standing Stone Mr Alexander Easter Happrew.
Mr Howe Lynesmill.		 012 An upright Stone about 2 feet in height and 2 feet in thickness Situated in an arable field on the farm of Easter Dalwick. It is generally believed to be an ancient Standing Stone, placed here to Commemorate some remarkable event. It bears no inscription and the tradition of the district is silent regarding it.
