This is the old Mansion house of Winkston erected as it date imports in 1545 It is a plain strongly built edifice two stories high with the walls in some places 5 & 6 feet thick. It was one of those strongly built houses, half Mansion, and half fortalice. It is now used as an outhouse of the modern farm of Winkston. There is a very decided tradition in the Country as to its being haunted |
