013 | [Situation] About ¼ of a Mile West of Bellanridge A large stone built into the wall on the north side of the road leading from Peebles through Manor Parish. There are several unintelligible marks upon it, one of which bears a strong resemblance to a horse shoe. It is said to have been removed from some part of the adjacent field and placed in its present position; but at what period, or from what particular spot, cannot be ascertained with any degree of certainty.
