013 | [Situation] About ⅝ of a Mile S.E [South East] of Bught Hill. This a farm house three stories high, with suitable farm buildings and a vegetable garden attached. The dwelling house appears to have been built at different periods - the oldest portion was originally intended for the residence of the Proprietor (James Ballantyne Esqr. Holylee,) it was afterwards, with the present addition, converted into a farm steading. It is occupied at present by Mr James Plenderleith, & appears to be kept in indifferent repair. There is also a corn mill, as shewn on trace 6. |
