It lies to the s. west of Kirkwall and is bounded on the east by the parish of St Ola, on the north by the parishes of Firth & Stenness on the south by Scapa Flow & on the west by Clestrain Sound. It comprises the island of Cava and a few small skerries. This Parish is in the presbytery of Cairston & Synod of Orkney. There is no detached part of this parish locally situated within the boundary of any other parish nor is there any detached part of any other parish locally situated within the boundary of this one.
