003; 008; 009; 013 The parish of Urquhart is in the Presbytery of Elgin, Synod of Moray. it is bonded on the south and south east by the parish of Speymouth, on the east by the River Spey, or the parish of Bellie in the County of Banff on the north by the Moray Firth; and on the west by the parishes of Drainie and St. Andrews Lhanbryd.
There are no detached portions of this parish, and there are no detached portions of any other parish situated within it.
The barony of Garmouth, situated in the angle formed by the River Spey and the sea coast, was annexed, Quoad Sacra to the parish of Speymouth but it wholly belongs to the parish of Urquhart,
and the Teinds of that barony still form a part of the fund from which the Minister of Urquhart derives his income
