The Site of an ancient church situated in a graveyard about two and a half Miles south of the present parish church. No vestiges of it remain nor is the date of its erection Known, but in 1868 when the wall enclosing the graveyard was undergoing repair some stones were taken from its foundation and a quantity of silver Coins were found. Coined in the reign of Robert the Second. Of these Coins a few are in the possession of the present clergyman, some in that of the Duke of Richmond, and others at the Museum at Edinburgh - |
