It is bounded on the north by Findhorn Loch and the Moray Firth; on the east by the parishes of Kinloss, and Rafford; on the south by the parish of Rafford; and on the west by the parishes of Edinkillie, and Dyke and Moy There are no detached portions of the parish of Forres, but a small part of the parish of Dyke and Moy joins the western boundary of the parish of Forres and lies on the east side of the River Findhorn.
