007.16 | This School was erected in 1824 under the patronage of the Six Incorporated Trades for the education of the children of their class. It is an excellent school-room, with house and garden for the teacher and was built by public subscription, aided by a grant from Parliament of £120. The average number of scholars is about 145 & the normal branches of Education are taught. It was endowed in 1657 by the Incorporated Trades and they still support it. |
