007 This railway extends from Lossiemouth to Craigellachie by the way of Elgin and Rothes. It joins the Strathspey branch of the Great North of Scotland Raily. [Railway] at Craigellachie, the Highland Railway at Elgin, and has a branch line from Rothes to Orton Junction at which place it again joins that line. The Great North of Scotland Raily. [Railway] Company have a lease of this line at present but it is still the property of the Morayshire Railway Company & retains that designation

007.12; 007.16 This station was the first built north of Aberdeen & has since the leasing of the Morayshire Railway by the Great North of Scotland Raily. Co: [Railway Company] been greatly enlarged & improved by the erection of new booking offices &c. There are two platforms, covered by a double ridged roof and lighted from the top. The original booking office & waiting rooms are occupied by the Secretary and Clerks of the Morayshire Railway Company to whom the Structure belongs. (It is never designated otherwise than by this name.)
