leading from Grantown to Dunphail & Forres. and about 7½ Miles from Grantown The following Extract written by Mr Farries the Ph. [Parish] Minister in 1842 (Ph. [Parish] Statistics) "A very handsome shooting lodge Consisting of eight appartments belonging to the Honourable John Stewart and generally occupied by him and other members of the noble family of Moray for several weeks in the Shooting Season, was erected three or four years ago at the north west base of the Knock. on the right bank of the Dorback and about 3. Miles above its junction with the Divie". -
