023 A Small farm house & offices all in good repair though of old Construction attached to these is a farm of Ground the property of John Borthwick Esq of Crookston, the offices Stand on the Site of an old Castle Which formerly Stood here a part of the wall of the Castle forms a portion of the front wall of the present Stable and is about four feet in thickness

023 The remains of an Old Camp on the farm of Cortleferry, it is of an oval shape and Surrounded by two ramparts of earth & Stones with a fosse between. Informants Cannot Say whether it is of Roman British Danish of Pictish Construction, when spoken of locally it is usually Called the "Old Camp" the proprietor of the ground John Borthwick Esq says he would suppose it to be of Danish Construction but it is mere conjecture for he adds it might as likely be of Roman formation
