039.04 A small straggling village, the houses of which are mostly one storey, thatched , and occupied by weavers and agricultural laborers, it contains a school and Post Ofice, the church and manse is situated a short distance from it. The Caledonian Railway passes close to the village, the station being about 1/2 a mile distant
