021; 027 A range of hills some of them of Considerable elevation which extend from about 5 miles South West of Edinbro' [Edinburgh] into Lanark and Peblees. shires [Peeblesshire] the southern termination of the range in Lanarkshire is Dunsyre Hill. The highest point of the range in Lanarkshire is Bleak Law. which although not Conspicuous amongst the surrounding hills, is about 1800 feet above H.W.M. [High Water Mark] at Glasgow.
