BURNSIDE | Burnside | James Hutchison Esqr., Proprietor. Robert Cullen, Occupier. R. Hastie, Coal Master. |
024.03 | A row of colliers dwellings belonging to the woodside property. It is commonly called "Laigh Woodside", by the people of the neighbourhood, in order to distinguish it from the houses at "Woodside Colliery" which the name class (colliers ?) call High Woodside, names which the proprietor does not recognise. In short, this is better known as the collier's houses on "Woodside", and properly speaking has no name whatever. |
