018.15 | This burn rises near a cottage on trace 6, about 12 chains north of "Howlethole" and goes into the clyde south east of "Dalserf House". The name is invaluably used as it is written on trace. The glen, like almost every glen in the parish, is called a "Gill" and it cannot be said that the name applies to the burn more than the gill. All persons in speaking of it, use both. (see descriptive remarks of "Kelly Gill", (xv111-10 trace 3) and "Mill Burn" (trace 4 xv111-11). |
