prebendaries . Stat. Acct. [Statistical Account] This church was dedicated to Mary and although it shared to some extent the fate of the most of the religious houses at the period of the Reformation it continued to be used as a place of worship till the year 1799 when it became entirely disused- the present church having been erected at that time. The site of the wall of the church can still be distinctly traced it appears to have been 100feet within the walls in length and 20 feet in breadth which must have rendered it very inconvenient as a place of worship.
