038.07 | There have been no remains found about this camp that would in any way throw light upon its origin. It is commonly called a Roman Camp by the people in its immediate vicinity, but from the remains of a circular ring or earthen element about 60 links in diameter and on average about nine inches high it would appear to have been a British Encampment. The circular ring above mentioned is the only trace of this site remaining. |
