001.11 An irregular shaped plantation growing on a Moss, & extending from the Edinburgh & Glasgow Turnpike Road to the Littlehill Farm on the east, and the Edinburgh & Glasgow Railway on the South. This plantation & the Low Moss Plantation were at no very distant period connected, & commonly called the "Cadder Moss". Improvements in cultivation & a slight difference in the height of the ground have given rise to the distinction.
