The whole System of Railways under
the management of this Company was amalgamated in
1848 under the Title of the "MonKland Railways" and Comprised
1 the "Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway" extending
from Kirkintilloch to Palace Craig with the Branch
to Moss Side, from which latter point Commenced
2 the "Ballochney Railway" comprising the Ballochney
Inclines. the Branch into Airdrie Station, the "Branch
to Rochsoles", the "Clarkston Branch," the "Dykehead
Branch," the main line to "Ballochney," and the
Branch to connect with the "Slamannan Railways,"
at Arbuckle, from which point commences the
3 "Slammanan Railway", to the Union Canal at "Causeway
End" with the Branch to Iancraig from Causeway End
to Borrowstowness, was the "Slammannan and Borrowstowness
Railway, " the line from BlacKstone into Bathgate
Armadale and Northrigg was obtained by the
amalgamated Company, under the Title of The
"Monkland Railways" Branches, 1863, as was also the
Same from Collintree near Clarkston, to Calderbank
I merely give you this detail to let you Know the
History of the System, and you Can make what
use of it you think fit, the whole of which is now
