A tolerably sized hill on the farms of Croachmore and Camphill its soil consists of arable land On it is a Trig. [Trigonometrical] Station called by Trig. [Trigonometrical] Party "Camp fell old". About 10 chains west of the Trig. [Trigonometrical] Station is an anct. [ancient] fort or Camp which gave rise to the name.
