026 A small river having its rise in the parish of Glencairn (Dumfriesshire) and running in a S. Easterly direction,(partly forming the boundary line betwixt the counties of Dumfries and Kirkcudbright) to its junction with the "Old Water" thence it changes its name and is called Cluden Water to its confluence with the River Nith at Lincluden College.
