A small rocky heathy Knowe on the farm of Meadowhead and situated a short distance North West of Cadgerhole. Its name originated from it being a favourite place for secreting Salt in the days of Smuggling

A small Knoll or eminence on the farm of Meadowhead its surface consists of rough pasture, the North West side of it is pretty precipitous where it is said that Smugglers were in the habit of secreting their contraband goods Such as Brandy hence the name.
