During heavy rains it rolls down in torrents its rise being extremely rapid and its decrease equally so. and flowing in a Southerly direction until it empties itself into the River Cree at Brigton, it receives numerous independent rills and in particular the Water of Trool which drains a large extent of country to the East For a short distance it forms part of the Boundary between Ayr and Kirkcudbrightshire |
