On the Distortion of Portion
[of] Sheet 16 Kirkcudbright -
(And of course the same on
the CopperPlates) I notice
the name of a Farm House
misplaced "Low Hardland"
should be High Hardland
You will observe in the
adjoining Sheet 34 and
close to Balmaclellan
Church another farm
House which is on the
Same Estate called
correctly "Low Hardland"
I am informed on good
authority that the first
mentioned House & farm is
named wrong on the Plan
