014 | A considerable stream being the Continuation of 'Downies Burn' And 'Saugh Burn' from their junction, It pursues a Southerly Course being in some places remarkably deep in others Shallow having a bottom of beautiful white flinty Sand, these shallows being favorite spawning places for Salmon Some of which ascend above the head of this Stream. It ultimately flows into the 'Black Water of Dee' As to the origin of its name nothing is known in the locality. |
