A large circular ancient cairn on the "rig of cairn Kinna" [it] is about 60 feet in diameter [with] stones in its centre being raised to about 12 feet high no information respecting it can be gained in the locality except that [it] is thought to be the burial place [of] some person of note. Similar tumuli have been opened in this neighbourhood and graves thereby exposed in which human bones of a large size have been found.
