It is known as the Ken Water and afterwards Loch Ken, till its junction with the Black water of Dee, nearly a mile above Parton Church flowing in a direction nearly Southward, it receives the Tarf Water near Tongueland Bridge, about 3 miles farther down it falls into Kirkcudbright Bay |
