Map of Town 1821		 050 [Situation] branching of the W [West] side of High St. and joining Castle St, and near the central part of the town. A Street branching off Castle Street in a Westerly direction and terminating at High Street a little to the South of the Western Bank, the houses are chiefly two Stories high Slated and in good repair it contains one Inn a few grocers Shops & the remainder dwelling houses chiefly Occupied by [tradesmen] Sailors and Agriculturalists. This St. is well drained and Macadamized & has a paved Causeway on each side.-
