The height of the Tower is about 30 feet, near to it is the remains of a vault, which probably has had communication with the tower at one time. It is a circular object having a small circle of stones and earth surrounding it the circle is not raised higher than a foot is any part and the centre of the fort is the general surface and never was raised. consequently it cannot be called a Moat as has been written on trace no fosse or embankment was ever here save the stone circle.
