Mr James Cross (Spearmill) Mr James Scott (Cobleheugh) Mr Robert Rennie (Marykirk) George Taylor Esqr. (Kirktonhill) |
026.08 | It is stated that human bones have been found at this place at different times, and Mr J, Croll of Spearmill states that a human Scull was found a few years ago. - The Site is a rising ground, or a series of Natural Hillocks near the Boundary between the Parishes of Marykirk and St Cyrus, and it is supposed to be the place where the Battle took place, and the finding of Bones here and the appearance of the ground tend very much to confirm the supposition. |
