A. A. Carmichael Esq 026 This name applies to an old burying ground (now disused). The greater part of it is under cultivation. There are two stones 1 foot high with crosses cut on them apparently at the head of the graves. About 3 chains west of the burying ground is a large rock or boulder stone with three vacuities on it as if made by art. It is disused as a burying place. There is another Sculptured Stone, which is described in page 6 of this book [referring to a stone about 3 chains west of the burying ground at the south east end of the Island of Boreray, described on page 6].
