022 | This name applies to the site of an ancient underground dwelling situated at a place known as Uidh Mheadhonach and about one half mile south of the shepherds house known as Northtown. This underground dwelling was opened about fifty five years since when a narrow passage communicating with a spacioius Chamber was discovered but the latter being found to contain a quantity of foul air further research was abandoned. It signifies "House below the earth". |
