019 This name signifies "Straight or Level Fold" and is applied to an enclosure, nearly of a circular form, the wall of which is in a crumbling state, it appears to have been about 6 feet in height and about 4 or 5 feet wide and built with dry stone, it is generally supposed to have been a Fort, but from its position and aoppearance it has in all probability been a Cattle Fold. There is a smaller one on the edge of the wood, about 20 chains north of Supposed remains of Fort Called Buaile Chòmhnard, which is also supposed to be a fort, the walls being grwon over with heather giving it the appearance of a Sloping Bank, no reason can be assigned for this supposition unless it be the close proximity of several heaps of stones, or Cairns, which are supposed to mark the burying places of the slain.
