053 A wooden erection on the west shore of Loch Ness, and about 20 chains south of the mouth of the river Moriston, it was built for the accommodation of steamers which ply between Inverness & Glasgow; by the Steam Boat Company it is called Invermoriston on account of its being at the mouth of the Glen Moriston, but by the proprietor Dalcataig. it is in the occupation of Mr. J. Fraser who is licensed to sell Beer, Ale, & Porter and the property of Lord Lovat.
