[Parish]), were the Lindsays of the Haugh of Tannadice or Barnyards. The Castle of Barnzaird (as it is termed in Monipennies) stood within two miles, as the crow flies, of the Castle of Finhaven, & towards the close of the last century was represented by two archways in the Haugh, a little north west of the present farm house, which was built from its ruins."
