045 | [Situation] Adjoining the parish boundary This well is situated on the Boundary between the Parishes of Monikie and Inverarity, and about a quarter of a mile to the south of the junction of the Parishes of Monikie, Inverarity and Guthrie Det. [Detached] Strictly speaking the well is in the Ph. [Parish] of Inverarity, as the Boundary only takes in the stone facing on the East side of the Well. It also obtains the name Knellock, from a Farm of that name in the Ph. [Parish] of Inverarity on the outskirts of which it is. This well is remarkable for the purity of its water, of which there is always an abundant supply. |
