019 | The foundation of this building is still traceable in its being raised about a foot above the ground, This Church was disused in 1723, when Lochlee was disjoined from Lethnot, and Lethnot was united to Navar, The Churchyard is still used, The belfry at the West end still stands about 20 feet high, It, however, formed no part of the Church, but was erected by the farmers in the district, so late as 1773, as a slab inscribed with their names, and on the belfry, informs us. |
