BELL ROCK | [continued from page 1] is 12 feet diameter and 15 feet in height, made chiefly of Cast Iron, with a Copper roof. The Reflectors revolve once in three minutes; and in thick and foggy Weather, two large Bells are tolled night and day by the machinery which moves the lights. A principal light-Keeper and three others reside in the Lighthouse, each in his turn gets ashore at the end of every Six weeks, where he remains a Fortnight, and then returns again to the Light-House.
