038 Is situated at the north eastern extremity of the parish & a short distance west from the town of Forfar. It measures about a mile & a quarter in length & a quarter in breadth.
Tradition says that it was in this loch they murderers of Malcolm II King of Scotland were drowned in their flight, in the darkness of the night from Glamis Castle.
