A neat church erected a few years since on an Eminence near the entrance into the Seagate from the High Street. It is in the Gothic Style of Architecture and the Entrance, - which is Surmounted by a tall Spire, - is approached by three tier of Stone Steps. - It is seated for 557 hearers, but is Capable of accommodating 600 by means of additional moveable Seats. - It is an Episcopal Church. The Ministers are - The Rt. Revd. [Right Reverend] A. P. Forbes, Bishop of Brechin, and the Revd. [Reverend] H. Macnamara M.A. [Master of Arts] Curate
