054 [Situation] A few chains west of Pole Park.
This name applies to a district of about 7 or 8 acres, and was known as such long before either the streets were formed through it, or houses built on it. it takes in the greater part of Miln Bank Road, Balgay Street, and Easson's Angle taking a stream on the south, which it follows for some distance, then leaving it running past the west end of Balgay Street, till it joins a high old garden Wall for its boundary on the north, leaving that a little beyond the line of Easson's Angle and running to the rere of the houses on east side of Easson's Angle to Miln Bank Road. see red dotted line on traces shewing Bdy. [Boundary] some gentlemen living in Balgay Street and Miln Bank Road have there Letters addressed them even yet as Fleuchar Craig. No information could be obtained in the locality as to the origin of the Term.
