Those most recently discovered have been in the two fields lying on the East side of the large Whinstone Quarry on the Law (& which are intersected by a narrow road) & in the field in which is situated Galloway Knowe on the South side of the same between the Road & the "Knowe". The physical features of the ground are such as to favor the above hypothesis and it is further borne out by historical & local tradition but not with sufficient exactitude to determine the particular point at which the brunt of the battle was borne. |
